Why are all my pics about Miss A? She's the performer around here...

Miss A had to wear the gargles today...
Passed out on the couch after a long and tiring day.

Miss T shows an interest in a math workbook. She diligently works while I prepare breakfast. Yes, this was taken before 7am!

My new 'diet', meaning, the veggies lasted a couple days..I was hungry!

Miss T surprised me by playing with Mr. G's train set. I was thrilled! She usually sticks to dolls and coloring..

In honor of Mr. G finishing his 'Gibor' chart, we all went to the convenience store for some ice cream! (note: It is the middle of winter, but it was his idea, so who am I to step between a boy and his ice cream!)
*The Gibor Chart is something I heard about from jewishmom.com. Gibor in Hebrew means Hero (A valiant hero who is able to overcome obstacles, hardships, difficulties). In our family it means being able to do things that might be difficult for us, like sharing, yelling, hitting, helping. When I see that someone has 'overcome' their challengs, they are a 'Gibor' and they get a star. The kids are really proud of their stars and it encourages them to overcome feelings that might be hard for them.
January 14, 2012 was shabbat (the sabbath), so I have no pictures. But next week I'll try to get a picture after shabbat. Have a great rest of the week!
This mamatography thing is really hard! I'm looking forward to this challenge getting easier...
Cute kiddos! I also have a "performer" and I have to admit that he steals attention away from his sisters quite often! The chart sounds like a great idea to motivate their behaviour :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of your kids enjoying ice cream all wrapped up warm! It's never too cold to enjoy ice cream afterall :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're finding it hard, but I hope you find it worthwhile too! Your pictures are fabulous and really tell a story!Miss A has an absolutely STUNNING smile :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Luschka- definitely worthwhile! Especially when we make it to the end and we can look back on a year in pictures...Thanks for the motivation!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I love these photos, they really tell a story and open a window on your fun (& delicious-food-filled) life.
ReplyDeleteAnd... in my experience it doesn't get easier, it gets harder - doing a 365, that is. I started one once and quit around day 200 when first trimester tiredness + long work hours drained me of all creative energy :( I loved doing it, though. What I mean by it gets harder is that the first few weeks you tend to take all the 'obvious' photos, the low-hanging fruit is picked. In my case those are things like a photo at the supermarket, one at the playground, child eating, child at music class, etc... yep, that is my life covered (sad, I know). So then, when all of those easy, obvious photos have been taken that is when the challenge really begins. In a way that is when the fun really begins too. You have to dig deep and get really proactive and creative in thinking up new photo shoots. Okay... maybe I take this more seriously then some mother-bloggers in that photography is such a big passion of mine, so I really want to use this as a chance to push myself to learn new skills, tricks, approaches, etc. But my point is, it might get worse before it gets better, but it is worth it. Keep at it. And keep plugging into the community for support and photo-love.
Thanks for what you do. I love it!!
